What are the credentials you need to become a desktop support guy ?

I have a degree in electrical and computer engineering ,
Currently due to some circumstances I can’t find any electrical / computer engineering jobs . With my credentials do you think I can get a job as a desktop support person ?

Sure, but you will need some CSR and call centre experience. Some colleges do have courses on being a help desk support person, and a call centre operator. If you can do a similar course, you will be in a better position to get a job as a help desk support person.
If you like writing, you might also consider getting a job as a Technical Writer. There is a lot less customer service in that job.
